Kossiakoff Lab

Our research interests focus around structure-function and energetic interrelationships defining the molecular recognition processes that trigger and regulate biological processes. We address the underlying fundamental questions using a combination of tools and techniques including protein engineering, X-ray crystallography, phage display mutagenesis, synthetic chemistry, biophysical analyses and cell biology. We have developed a “chaperone-enabled” biology and structure technology platform to produce unique reagents and methods to probe fundamental cellular processes. Particular areas of interest include:

A) hormone-induced receptor activation,
B) drug delivery using receptor-mediated delivery technology,
C) synthetic antibodies,
D) synthetic biology.
